--------------- WELCOME CSFM Manager ERIKA---------------


Erika DaSilva joins the Cold Spring Farmers' Market with a diverse background in food, and as an advocate for small farms, producers, and creators. Inspired by 10 years in food and wine in New York City and abroad, Erika is incredibly honored to help represent the dynamic vendors and makers at the Cold Spring Farmers' Market. With time spent at Glynwood FarmsWellness in the Schools, the Union Square Greenmarket, and as a food illustrator, she hopes to continue the wonderful Saturday gathering for the community that the Market has created!

10:00-10:30am: Taste & Talk with La Talaye Catering & Event Design

  • Chef Michelle has been sharing her love and passion for nutritious foods for over two decades. Her professional culinary career began when she started her own restaurant in Haiti, Munich Beer Garten, at young age. Chef Michelle hastravelled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Europe and the U.S. to cultivate and diversify her craft. She is inspired by local farms and her family’s Haitian roots.
  • My business, La Talaye, is named after a countryside in Haiti where my grandparents come from and reflects the healthy tradition in which I was raised. In the tradition of my Grandma and my upbringing in Haiti, I strive to provide my family and clientele with the best nourishmentto improve their quality of life. I cook with organic and natural ingredients and herbs and spices to optimize the health benefits of each dish. I visit local farms and farmers’ markets so I can know exactly where my food comes from. I love sharing my healthy creations and I’m passionate about communicating this healthy lifestyle to everyone I encounter.
  • Chef Michelle will be sampling sautéed kale. Have a taste and talk with Chef Michelle!


8:30am-1:30pm: Small Tribe Hoops

  • Come try a handmade hula hoop with Heather Davies of Small Tribe Hoops! She provides hula hoops of all sizes, so adults can play too! Small Tribe Hoops will be out at the market all day providing mini-lessonsexperimenting with movement, and having a blast. See you there! 

11:30am-12:15pm: Landscape and Landmarks Tour at Boscobel House and Gardens

  • Landscape and Landmarks Tour engage visitors with stories about Boscobel’s extraordinary site overlooking the Hudson RiverConstitution Marsh, and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Enjoy the beauty of Boscobel while learning about the site’s historic architecturenatural historyearliest inhabitants, and its political, artistic, and environmental significance. The tour is conversational and children are welcome.
